Men's ring size chart

Men's rings run from about US 8 to 12, and many jewelers stock up to 16. Find the size by inside diameter or by the length around the finger: 62 mm around is a US 10.

Under 30 counts as a diameter, 30 and over as a circumference.

Reading the men's chart

Each US size adds 0.81 mm to the inside diameter, about 2.55 mm around the finger. A US 10 is 19.8 mm across and 62.1 mm around; a US 12 is 21.4 mm across and 67.2 mm around. EU sizes are the circumference in millimeters, so EU 62 is a US 10.

The UK scale ends at Z½ (US 13). Above that, UK jewelers use sizes such as "Z+1," and they differ from shop to shop, so ask in US or EU sizes.

Men's bands are often 6 mm wide or more, and a wide band fits tighter than a thin one of the same size. See how much to size up for a wide band. To measure without a ring, use string or paper.

Questions

What size ring does a man usually wear?

Jewelers' size guides commonly put most men between US 8 and 12. That range is too wide to guess from, so measure a ring he wears or his finger.

How do I find his ring size without asking?

Borrow a ring he wears on the same finger and measure it on the screen sizer, or ask a friend to try rings on with him. The secret-sizing page has more ways.

Is a men's size 10 the same as a women's size 10?

Yes. US ring sizes are the same scale for everyone; only the range that is common differs.

What is a size 10 ring in mm?

19.8 mm across the inside and 62.1 mm around. That is a T½ in the UK and 62 in Europe.
